Do you make any liquid soaps?
Not at present, though I may start if I can find some packaging that is either re-usable or comes from a renewable source.

How do I use a body butter?
Body butters can be used in a variety of ways. You can either rub the bar directly on your skin, rub it in your hands and then on your skin, or try melting a bit in your hot bath water before a good soak. They are great for tricky dry patches like those on feet and elbows, or for a relaxing massage. In wintertime, many like to use them all over shortly after a shower to fend off the dry, itchy skin that wintertime can bring.

Why does my lip balm have little bumps in it?
Sometimes when the balms or body butters are heated to the point of melting and then cool down again, they aren’t thoroughly blended anymore once they solidify. If you find that the lip balm in your car has little bumps in it, have no fear; the ingredients are all still in there!

If there’s no dye in this soap… why is it so dark?
Some essential oils and fillers (exfoliants, herbs, and the like) can change the color of the finished soaps. Sweet vanilla, for example, produces soap that is the color of a lovely chocolate fudge. We don’t recommend eating it, however!

How can I get the most out of my soap?
Handmade soaps are notorious for becoming “mushy.” If a long-lasting, non-mushy bar is what you seek, be sure to let your soap properly cure before using it and keep your bars as dry as you can. Some soaps, like GMBB’s moisturizing soap, are a little softer by nature and must be treated accordingly. If you have a busy shower, store them away from direct water contact and find a tray or dish that drains.

I’ve tried everything… what else is there?

GMBB will be making special seasonal or experimental products from time to time. Favorites may become site fixtures if they’re popular enough. Suggestions are always welcome!
